Garrard’s Royal Blue is here to stay

Back in May, our flagship store at 24 Albemarle Street turned Royal Blue in celebration of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Following the sad passing of Her Majesty, we have chosen to keep our Royal Blue colour, as a permanent tribute to a truly remarkable Queen.

ROYALBLUE COLOUR HIRES

Ever since the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, visitors to the Albemarle Street boutique have been enjoying our striking new look. The Garrard flag and window canopies have been updated in Royal Blue – a colour that has close historical connections with Garrard. Branded in blue when Queen Victoria appointed Garrard the first official Crown Jeweller in 1843, Royal Blue is the colour of some of the most famous jewels in Garrard’s archives, including Queen Victoria’s sapphire cluster brooch – the inspiration behind the 1735 collection – and Princess Diana’s sapphire engagement ring.

Seeped with Garrard’s DNA, the striking Royal Blue façade is visible all the way from New Bond Street. Both a nod to our past and a bold statement that perfectly reflects Garrard today, we are thrilled that it is here to stay.
