Royal Ascot 2025 with Garrard: Heritage, Jewellery & Style Guide

A guide to Garrard’s special relationship with Royal Ascot. From crafting the world-renowned Gold Cup, to Garrard’s high jewellery that’s worn by the most distinguished guests.

Discover a journey of heritage, jewellery and style as we guide you through Garrard’s special relationship with Royal Ascot since 1842. From hand-crafting the Gold Cup – lifted by Royalty, destined for champions – to designing fine jewellery that adorns the most distinguished of guests and brightest of stars. It is a storied world of glittering British society and meticulously stylised etiquette, prepared exclusively for raceday splendour.

A Cup Reborn

As Official Trophies and Silverware Supplier of Royal Ascot, Garrard is commissioned each year to specially hand-craft an original Gold Cup, Royal Hunt Cup, and Queen’s Vase.

The oldest and most prestigious race at Royal Ascot, the Gold Cup is a marathon ride of two-and-a-half miles to test the stamina of the finest staying horses across Europe. Presented by the reigning British monarch, the Gold Cup has become a symbol of Garrard’s long-standing role in British sporting tradition and royal patronage. To mark our 290th year, the 2025 Gold Cup bears Garrard’s 290th anniversary commemorative mark.

Honouring His Majesty, King Charles III lifelong commitment to sustainability, AgAIN Silver has been used in the creation of each of the Royal Ascot trophies since 2023. A fully traceable precious metal extracted from recycled X-ray films from hospitals across the UK and Ireland, AgAIN Silver is the first recycled silver of known provenance on the market.

A Jewel Forecast: Place Your Bets

The style choices of guests at Royal Ascot are one of the most anticipated events in the British society calendar. With each enclosure at Ascot bearing its own official dress code, the matter of choosing an outfit requires a more considered approach than any other summer event; storytelling must meet race day style, and fashion must respect the rules of royal etiquette.

Garrard fine jewellery has been the choice of Royal Ascot’s most distinguished guests for centuries. As the styles have transformed over the years, so have the Garrard’s designs, motifs, and jewellery sets crafted by women, for women.

The Garrard team is setting the stakes for favourable odds, with a hand-picked selection of enchanted pieces from across our collections to style for Royal Ascot 2025.
